Ad hoc Committee Reports

Town Hall Meetings August 19 & 20, 2006

The next step in our renewal process was the Idea Party (Town Hall Meeting).  Conducted after each mass, we gathered in the parish hall and welcomed all who took the time to participate. Light refreshments were served.

Our facilitators were Colin Wilkinson, Bridget Lewis, Mireya Cadogan, Christine Wilkinson, Jennifer Chapital, Brenda Chee Wah, Eric Smith and Dana Lee Willis.  They assisted in gathering and capturing the thoughts of everyone. We filled three buckets with thoughts on how to make our parish an even better place to worship.   There were common threads throughout the sessions. We, as a people realize our need to express our faith and diversity both within the liturgy and in our parish life.

One of the highlights occurred when the facilitators solicited buzz words to define what each member thought was important about Christ Our Hope parish.  Members were also asked to share what it is they believe they brought to the parish.  Some words members gave were: inspiring, family, warm, and spiritual. 

Our Parish Mission Statement will be developed directly from the words given. The Ad Hoc committee  thanks all who participated both in the initial parish survey and  Idea Parties! Next on our agenda will be to present Mission Statement options for your selection.
