Why We Give?
Giving is an important act of faith, stewardship, and generosity, reflecting a believer’s commitment to supporting the Church’s mission. While the Church does not mandate a specific percentage, Catholics are encouraged to give according to their means to sustain parishes, ministries, and charitable works. Rooted in biblical principles (Malachi 3:10, 2 Corinthians 9:7), tithing expresses gratitude to God for His blessings and helps provide for the needs of the community. By contributing financially, Catholics participate in the Church’s mission of evangelization, social outreach, and service to the poor, fostering a spirit of selflessness and trust in God’s providence.
2026 Archbishop's Annual Appeal

The theme of the 2026 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal, “We Are One Body in Christ—Called to Serve,” reminds us that each of us has a vital role in the mission of the Church. Through our shared generosity, the Appeal supports ministries that serve the hungry and homeless, form seminarians and deacons, care for the sick and elderly, and educate young people in the light of the Gospel. Every gift is an act of mercy that helps the Archdiocese of Atlanta proclaim Christ’s love and grow faith, hope, love, and service in north and central Georgia.
The goal for the 2026 appeal is $11,740,000.
Parish Endowment

Gifts to an endowment fund are protected by law (cannot be spent), professionally invested, and grow over time. Your parish is the sole beneficiary of your parish endowment fund.
As the value of the endowment fund grows, your parish receives an annual distribution grant that comes from the earnings of the fund. This grant can be used in many ways, but most importantly ensures the longevity of your parish so it can continue to serve the community with indefinite financial support.

In the Archdiocese of Atlanta, we are blessed that all of our parishes and missions, as well as many of our Catholic Centers, have these funds.

Besides online gifts, you can contribute to your parish's endowment fund through cash, a check, appreciated stock, IRA QCDs, non-cash assets such as real estate or collections, or leaving a gift in your will.
